Family Medical Records, made by CodeAgents

FamCura keeps your family’s medical records on your phone. We do not have a copy.

What FamCura stores

The people you add, their reports, bills, medicines, readings, visits, reminders and anything you type or scan. All of it is saved in an encrypted database on your phone. FamCura has no server that receives it, and no account to log in to.

What FamCura does not do

It shows no advertising and has no analytics: it does not record what you open, how often, or who you are. It does not sell or share your records with anyone.

Reading your reports

Scanning and text recognition happen on your phone. The pictures and the text are not sent anywhere to be read.

When something leaves your phone

Only when you choose it:

  • Sharing or printing. A PDF or message goes where you send it, using your phone’s own share sheet. Once it has left, FamCura no longer protects it. FamCura keeps a list on your phone of each time you opened the share sheet or print page (what it was and when, never the contents); you can read and clear it on the Privacy screen.
  • Backup (optional). If you turn it on, FamCura uploads an encrypted copy to your own Google Drive, in an app-only area. The copy is locked with a passphrase that only you know and that FamCura keeps only on your phone. Without the passphrase the copy cannot be read by us, by Google or by anyone else. If you lose the passphrase, the copy cannot be recovered.
  • Messaging a caregiver. FamCura writes the message and opens your own messaging app with it ready. You send it.

Google sign-in

Used only for backup, only to reach your own Drive. FamCura does not receive your Google profile.

App updates

FamCura checks for updates to the app itself (through Expo’s update service). That downloads the app’s code. It does not send your records.

The opening animation

To show your family as it opens, FamCura keeps one letter, one colour and a tiny copy of the photo (if there is one) for each of the first four people in your phone’s secure storage, separate from the encrypted database. It holds no names or health details. With the app lock on, the animation shows only letters, so no face appears before your PIN.

Erasing everything

The Backup and Privacy screens have an “Erase everything” button. It removes the database and its key, the lock, settings, the backup passphrase, scheduled reminders, the Google sign-in and cached files, then restarts the app as new. It deletes your Google Drive backups too only if you choose that.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your phone. No server sends them.

Children

Records for children are entered and held by a parent or guardian on their own phone.

Deleting your data

Delete a person or a record in the app, or remove FamCura from your phone. Backups in your Google Drive are yours to delete (the app can remove them when you turn backup off).

Not medical advice

FamCura helps you organise your records. It does not give medical advice.

Changes

If this changes, the app and this page change together.
